Research activities related to chemical prospecting for plants originating from Brazilian Cerrado are carried out, especially those from the Cerrado of Goiás with informal reports of medicinal use, aiming at the isolation and structural identification of natural products with potential biological activity. Chemical prospecting activities of polysaccharides (carbohydrates) of basidiomycetes are also carried out, which act as biological response modifiers, aiming at the structural elucidation of these macromolecules.
